For maximum safety and optimal leak resistance, always keep your Tyffyn standing upright.

Tyffyn was designed to keep your food hot or cold, depending on your needs. It was not designed to carry both hot and cold food at the same time.

Tyffyn is especially well suited for moist, dense, and hot food, such as stews, rice, minestrone and other soups, mashed potatoes, lasagna and other baked pasta, ratatouille, dumplings, etc.

Tyffyn is also suitable for cold food, such as salad, cold tofu, yogurt, ice cream, fruit, cheese, cold noodles, gazpacho, potato salad, rice salad, cole slaw, deviled eggs, gelatin, etc.

Yes. Tyffyn is built with state-of-the-art technology, inspected to perform up to the following specifications: Food placed in a Tyffyn at 158 °F will be approximately 113 °F after 6 hours – when the lunchbox is stored at a room temperature of 70 °F.

See our tips below to further improve the performance of your Tyffyn. Tyffyn can also keep food hot for approximately the same amount of time. Tyffyn is an interactive user product – the better you treat it, the better it will perform for you.

Food placed in a Tyffyn at a standard refrigerator’s temperature of 44 °F will be approximately 65 °F after 6 hours, when the lunchbox is stored at a room temperature of 70 °F.

See our tips below to further improve the performance of your Tyffyn. Tyffyn can also keep food hot for approximately the same amount of time. Tyffyn is an interactive user product – the better you treat it, the better it will perform for you.

We recommend hand-cleaning your Tyffyn with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Never soak the base and outer shell, nor place them under running water, these parts are not dishwasher-safe. The inner containers are instead dishwasher safe (up to 60C), or can also be washed by hand. Never scrub your Tyffyn or inner containers. Never use a solvent, or a cleaner containing chlorine, or water with heavy mineral content as this may ruin the finish of your Tyffyn.

After cleaning your Tyffyn (see earlier in the FAQ), leave it open in a dry, cool place. Keep the lids off the inner containers to prevent the formation of bacteria, mold, or unpleasant odors.

You may do so with the inner containers, but not with the outer shell. Cooling down the inner containers before placing food into them (especially ice cream) will help keep your food cold longer.

There is no particular need to cool down your Tyffyn’s outer shell. Placing it in a refrigerator or freezer may actually compromise the vacuum-insulated seal and damage your Tyffyn.

No. Neither Tyffyn’s outer shell nor the inner containers are designed for use in a microwave oven. Placing either one in a microwave oven could seriously damage both, along with the appliance.

No. Your Tyffyn’s inner containers are not designed for food preparation or cooking. Placing them in direct contact with fire or any heating element, such as steamers or cookers or woks, will result in permanent damage.

Condensation may form inside the shell due to the cooling of steam produced by hot food. While removing the shell from the base, be careful that condensation doesn’t accidentally drip on clothes or furniture. While enjoying your meal, place the shell upside down to prevent dripping and provide yourself a safe, clean place to keep the lids of your inner containers.

The 20 fl.oz Tyffyn weighs about 28.2 oz. Its dimensions are 6.3 inch x 4.5 inch x 5 inch. The 32 fl.oz Tyffyn weighs about 35.3 oz. Its dimensions are 6.3 inch x 4.5 inch x 6.5 inch and tapers along the edges. Tyffyn is designed to be sleek and easy to carry.

Drynk-Heat Retention Performance

Drynk’s heat performance can be optimized by pre-heating it before use:

  • 1. Fill Drynk’s metal body with hot water.
  • 2. Let it sit for a few minutes.
  • 3. Empty the metal body and fill it with your hot beverage.
  • For cold beverages, follow the above instructions, but fill with cold water instead of hot water.
Drynk has been engineered to give the best drinking experience over common beverage consumption temperatures. Use special care when filling Drynk with a boiling hot beverage. After filling Drynk up to the fill line, let the beverage cool down a bit to let off the vapor before putting on the lid. Do not close Drynk immediately after filling.
No. When you first receive the product, wash the components thoroughly with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid before usage.
No. Drynk is not dishwasher-safe.

Always rinse Drynk’s metal body after use and rinse the lids under running water. A mild dishwashing liquid can be used to clean the product.

The inner surface of the metal body can be cleaned with a non-steel scrubber. Do not use steel scrubs as they may leave small steel pieces and contaminate Drynk’s stainless steel surface.

Only use a soft sponge to clean the external surface of the metal body. Using abrasive cleaning pads or steel scrubs will damage the paint finish on the external surface of the metal body.

Make sure Drynk is completely dried after washing.

After cleaning it (please refer to earlier in this FAQ), store Drynk open in a dry, cool place. This will prevent unpleasant odors or the formation of bacteria and mold.

No. Drynk is not designed to be heated, doing so will cause permanent damage to the product. Do not heat Drynk on a stove, or in any other cooking vessel or appliance.
Drynk is designed to withstand the regular abuse of everyday usage. Dropping it from height or on a hard surface may affect the structural integrity of the product.
To enhance its thermal performance, a layer of insulating foil is placed in the vacuum-insulated area of Drynk’s metal body, which might produce a mild rattling noise. This is normal and not indicative of any fault with the unit.

Since Drynk’s contents may be very hot, it should be always handle with care. Given the proper care, pre-teens and adolescents may handle the product.

Drynk is not intended for use by toddlers and infants. Ensure that the product is kept out of their reach.
